Ian Currie - Principal
 Ian's insolvency career began 1982. During this time he has worked within the Insolvency division of two international accounting firms, Ernst & Young and Deloitte. This has provided Ian with international experience with his first overseas appointment to Papua New Guinea. Here he gained invaluable experience working on the liquidation of a large finance company and receivership of a coffee plantation and hardware store. Ian has worked in London on various assignments, including the restructuring of Rigas Komerka Banka, a major Latvian Bank forced to close due to heavy losses on Russian securities. Ian was a partner of Brisbane insolvency firm for over four years prior to establishing CBIA in June 2005. Ian brings considerable local and international experience to CBIA.

- Registered Liquidator
- Official Liquidator
- Member of CPA Australia
- Member of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators
- Member of the Insolvency Practitioners Association of Australia (IPAA)
- Bachelor of Business
- Commissioner for Declarations
- Over 22 years Insolvency Experience
